Warnings for lack of appropriate approval:

The Commissariat aux Assurances is making every effort to quickly issue warnings about firms potentially operating in the insurance sector on or from the Luxembourg market without appropriate approval.

In any event, we recommend that individuals and undertakings check whether:

• The person you are dealing with is authorised to offer these services, in particular by ensuring that they have approval. In this respect, please note that under the heading ‘Operators’ you will find all the natural and legal persons approved in Luxembourg for activities in the insurance sector, as well as the approvals they hold.
• There is a warning about your contact person.

The CAA would like to inform you that it has become aware that the articles of association filed with the Registre de Commerce et des Sociétés (Luxembourg Business Register) of the following legal persons* include the distribution of insurance and/or reinsurance in their corporate objects despite the fact that they do not have the required approval to do so:

*  Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and that there may be other firms in the same situation not known to the CAA, which declines all responsibility in this respect. The CAA urges you to consult the exhaustive list of duly approved persons referred to above.
